Agriculture

EnviroOne has embraced three broad goals for all its sustainable agriculture projects.

First, each farm practice should be profitable over the long term, moving the farmer from subsistence farming to a sustainable agro-business entity.

Second, farming practices should reflect stewardship of not only the land on which farmers grow their crops, but also the land surrounding their farms, the air, and the water.

Finally sustainable agriculture efforts should provide a better quality of life for the farmers and their communities.

Clean Water

Clean water

In rural SubSaharan Africa, millions of people rely on unprotected water sources that are breeding grounds for pathogens.

EnviroOne is contributing to solving the water crisis in sub-Saharan Africa, beginning in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world.

EnviroOne, in partnership with local micro-financing organizations, frequently meets with farmers, petty traders, teachers, etc in different parts of Sierra Leone to evaluate needs, and educate potential beneficiaries on the microfinance process.

EnviroOne uses microfinance to achieve its project goals.

The microfinance project is helping people and communities in many ways and improving human development.

Capacity Building

The EnviroOne Capacity Building project is a multi-fold process. First, we strive to understand the obstacles that have prevented the people and the communities we intend to serve from realizing their development goals.

From these results, we get a thorough understanding of the knowledge-base of the stakeholders, their financial capabilities, existing leadership, institutional opportunities (if any), and accountability measures.

We then develop and implement capacity building programs.
